1. Customer background and needs
Customer information: A Thai machinery and equipment manufacturer, mainly engaged in food processing production line equipment. Now we need to purchase a batch of 316 stainless steel seamless pipes for core equipment components.
Key requirements:
Payment method: 30% advance payment + 70% final payment
2. Communication and quotation stage
February 5-March 8
Technical details confirmation:
In the first email consultation, the customer emphasized that the pipeline must withstand the acid cleaning environment. Our technical team suggested upgrading to 316 (ultra-low carbon stainless steel) and provided an intergranular corrosion test report. The customer finally approved the plan.
Confirmed packaging standards: wooden pallet + waterproof film wrapping, plastic sleeves at both ends to prevent bumps.
3. Production and quality control
Customer participation:
On April 5, we invited customers to conduct a video factory inspection and demonstrated the eddy current flaw detection (ECT) inspection process.
On April 15, we sent the inspection report of the first batch of 100 pipes and photos of shelf stacking. The customer replied that "the quality exceeded expectations."
4. Logistics and distribution
Transportation arrangements:
Total cargo volume: 25 tons, transported in 4 40HQ containers.
Booking: Choose CMA CGM direct shipping, freight is borne by the customer.
Document preparation: Issue commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin in advance (FORM E can enjoy tariff concessions).
On May 30, we sent the original documents and followed up the customer's customs clearance process throughout. On June 5, the goods were signed for.
5. Subsequent cooperation
Customer feedback:
On June 10, we received an email from the customer: "The pipeline and equipment assembly are a perfect match, and it has been recommended to partners."
